This week, our upper elementary children demonstrated the true meaning of a self-driven community. Stepping up with remarkable initiative, they organized their own learning flow—with one student even taking the lead to guide a group through their lessons.
Watching them navigate their work through collaborative discussion and shared responsibility was a testament to their maturity. Once their core tasks were complete, the classroom buzzed with purposeful choice: some immersed themselves in reading, while others challenged themselves with the money game.
This is Montessori in action: by trusting in their abilities and providing the space to lead, we witness children transforming into independent, confident thinkers who own their education.
