In the Montessori language area, a child’s encounter with words happens naturally and peacefully. There is no pressure and no rushing only little hands gently tracing word cards, sounding out letters, and slowly building language through repeated exploration and discovery.
From recognizing sounds, to forming their first words, and eventually reading full sentences, children are not simply “learning” language they are constructing it from within.
